USGS scientist Virginia Burkett was interviewed July 9 and July 13 by The Times-Picayune (New Orleans, LA) about the sustainability of the Mississippi River delta and how climate change could increase its vulnerability.

USGS scientist Tommy Michot was interviewed in French by students from Sherbrooke College, Quebec, Canada, about Louisiana’s wetland loss and the impact of the changes on the culture of south Louisiana. The interview was included in a DVD of the students’ project, “Sur les piste des Cadjins, La Louisiane d’asteur,” and is being shown on local public access television in Lafayette, LA.
