Press Inquiries/Media

On June 29, USGS Acting Spatial Analysis Branch Chief Scott Wilson and USGS Geographer Steve Hartley, both from the National Wetlands Research Center (Lafayette, LA) were interviewed by The Daily Advertiser for a story on the Science Response Vehicle (SRV). The SRV is equipped for rapid deployment in response to natural disasters throughout the United States.

USGS scientist Tommy Michot was interviewed in French by students from Sherbrooke College, Quebec, Canada, about Louisiana’s wetland loss and the impact of the changes on the culture of south Louisiana. The interview was included in a DVD of their project, “Sur les piste des Cadjins, La Louisiane d’asteur,” which Michot received in late June.
