USGS scientists Wylie Barrow and Tommy Michot were interviewed June 15 by Dr. Mike Steinberg from the University of Hawaii for a book he is working on about the Ivory-billed Woodpecker. Barrow and Michot provided information on historical sightings, habitat use and recovery planning for the Ivory-billed Woodpecker in the southeastern United States.

USGS scientist Tommy Michot who is an advisor for a new IMAX movie on Louisiana’s wetlands entitled “Hurricane on the Bayou,” assisted with fact checking the final cut. The movie should be out in the fall of 2006.
