USGS Scientist Speaks to Transportation Research Board: USGS scientist Virginia Burkett was invited by the Transportation Research Board of The National Academies to speak at "The Impact of Global Warming on Transportation" Policy Session held January 14 in Washington, DC. Burkett discussed the potential impacts of climate change and variability on transportation in the Gulf Coast/Mississippi Delta Region. (Virginia Burkett, Lafayette, LA, 337-256-5628)
