The Biological Report Series (ISSN 0895-1926) continues the Fish and Wildlife Service Office of Biological Services (FWS/OBS) series which began in 1976. The series name changed in 1984 from FWS/OBS to Biological Report. The Biological Report series was continued by the National Biological Service. Ecology of Buzzards Bay: an Estuarine Profile, Biological Report 33, September 1996 was the last report in the Biological Report series.
Community/Estuarine/Ecological Profile Subseries, 57 reports
The 57 Community and Estuarine Profile subseries in the Biological Report series describe particular coastal and estuarine ecosystems and their values. These reports synthesize existing ecological information that is pertinent to a specific estuarine or coastal community (for example, pocosins) or geographic area (for example, Apalachicola Bay, FL ). This subseries provides information on the dynamics of the ecosystem or community, and the impacts of man's development on that system.
