LocationsWe are looking for volunteers who have access to baldcypress swamps anywhere in the Southeastern United States. However, we are especially interested in volunteers who are willing to work in the following locations:
North American Baldcypress Swamp NetworkIllinois: Cache River, Illinois (Heron Pond, Little Black Slough, Section 8 Woods, Deer Pond, Snake Hole) Tennessee: Reelfoot Lake National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) (Lake Isom, Grassy Island, Long Point (north, east, west) Arkansas: White River NWR (Swan Lake/Sandy Bayou, Goose Lake, Covington Lake, Hurricane Bayou, Burnt Lake) Mississippi: Morgan Brake/Hillside NWR (Bear Lake, Tipton Bayou (north and south), Morgan Brake, Providence Road) Louisiana (north): Tensas NWR (Rainey Lake, Rainey Brake, Crossroads, Board Road, Greenlea Tract) Louisiana (south): Cat Island NWR (Checkstation, Blackfork Trail, Big Cypress, Heavens Grove, Blackfork Lake (Heavens Grove), Lateral Canal (Resurrection Fishing Hole)) Texas: Fort Bend County (Brazoria, Guadalupe River near Aransas, hill country cypress near Austin) Delaware/Maryland: Murderkill and St. Jones Rivers (Del.), Pokomoke and Nassawango Rivers, Battle Creek Cypress Swamp (Md.) Florida: Big Cypress (N.P.D) and Corkscrew Swamp (National
