USGS Science Center Offers Teacher Workshop: On September 15, USGS scientist Larry Allain and education and outreach contractor Susan Horton from the National Wetlands Research Center (NWRC) taught a workshop on Louisiana wetlands for teachers as part of a graduate level course at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette. Teachers visited the coastal prairie ecosystem, learned plant sampling techniques that they can use with their students, and later will bring their students to NWRC for an educational presentation and tour.
