Lori Johnson Randall, M.S. 1993. Biology, Southern Illinois University. Plant-animal interactions, community ecology, conservation biology.
Randall's current research focuses on studies of bird-habitat relations that include the use of Chinese tallow seeds by wintering birds, the interactive effects of climate change and fire on bird communities in the Chihuahuan Desert, the use of coastal live oak forests by breeding and wintering birds, and the use of weather radar to determine landscape-scale habitat needs of migrant and wintering birds. Previous research focused on the effects of nutria herbivory on primary production and plant stand structure in coastal wetlands.
