NWRC Laboratory Management

Laboratory Management - The laboratory staff designs, develops, and sustains analytical chemistry and biochemistry laboratories. Quality control and quality assurance programs, as well as advanced laboratory management techniques, are employed to address innovative wildlife management and research.

NWRC's 17 laboratories are designed to be used for multidisciplinary research and provide the capability of obtaining data with state-of-the-art technologies. Laboratory operations serve to implement the federally-mandated Hazardous Communication, Chemical Hygiene, and Good Laboratory Practice acts.

Analytical equipment includes:
- CHN Elemental Analyzer
- Gas Chromatograph
- Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrum Spectrophotometer
- Microwave Digester
- Flow Cytometer
- Fluorescence Microscope
- Nutrient Autoanalyzer/Flow Solution Analyzer
- UV/IR Spectrophotometer
- Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrophotometer
- Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer
